I am a crafty person, I dabble in all kinds of crafty fun stuff. My favorite crafts though are the ones that I do when I have my niece, Z. This happens to be one that we did while she was up on Spring Break and then left them at my house. Thank goodness she's coming again soon so I can send all this glitter home with her.
To do this craft, you're going to need a cute little willing crafter or a few. Clean popsicle sticks, an adult with a hot glue gun or some patient little crafters with regular school glue, markers to color the sticks, and glitter if so desired. Now there's a certain brand name school glue that has glitter already in it, if your little crafters want to use that, then go right ahead.
First, color the sticks; this is a great way to busy little crafters while waiting on the hot glue gun or getting other things done. If you plan on hanging them, when you glue the wings to the body, slip string/ribbon in between the 2 pieces and let them all dry. You could also get some long wooden dowels to glue the dragonflies onto. If glittering, that wonderful, wash-off-able school glue would be great, choose your colors and sprinkle away. I prefer to sprinkle on top of newspaper or something that I can collect the glitter to put back into the container. Let them totally dry, give then give them a good tap to get off for any excess glitter, and you're done.
Z loved doing the dragonflies, with the exception of not being able to use the hot glue gun, and of course being covered in glitter was the absolute best part.
