Mmmmmmmm steak! It is so good, especially when it's when marinaded and grilled! I recently went to one of my favorite sites (pinterest) to look for an easy recipe for a flank & a few strip steaks that had been hiding in the freezer. What I found was this little quicky you see to the right. Now, I am not the kind of person to stick to a recipe and I wasn't changing for this recipe either. In addition to the ingredients listed I added teriyaki sauce, cayenne, thyme, rosemary, vegetable oil, and lemon juice. It was so good we had it for leftovers the next night. Due to the popularity, I also made a new batch the following week and those leftovers were eaten as well. We usually grill steak for fajitas but these would be fabulous sliced up on a salad or on it's own. In fact, I think this recipe would be great on chicken or pork too. I'll let you know if I try that!
1/4 c soy sauce 1/2 worcestershire sauce 3/4c teriyaki sauce 1/8 c vegetable oil 1 Tbsp garlic powder 1 Tbsp onion powder 1 tsp rosemary (dried) 1 tsp thyme (dried) 1/2 tsp cayenne juice of half a lemon *you can add more or less of something depending on your/your family's taste | Pour everything into a large bowl and mix together. Grab your steaks, toss them in a ziplock bag, and pour on the marinade. Depending on how many steaks you're making, you may want to split them into more than one bag. Squeeze out the air and let sit in the fridge for at least an hour but I strongly suggest overnight. The longer they sit the better they taste. Fire up the grill and cook to your liking (we're a medium well kind of family.) Then enjoy! |
