I did this craft with my niece Z over the Thanksgiving holiday, she loved the glitter, of course, but stopped wanting to make them when she couldn't handle the glue gun herself. Anyways... I originally did this craft back when I was just a little older than her, about third grade. Thanks to that teacher for starting me on the glitterfied path of crafty-ness. There are more like this, that I made back in the day, that I'll post another time.
Pinecones Glitter Ribbon (for hanging) Glue gun (for attaching ribbon)
Regular everyday Elmer's (or similar) glue Small foam paintbrush
Newspaper Space Someone that wants to get crafty
The ribbon and glue gun are only if you're going to hang them, we hang them on the tree but you can also put these in a pretty bowl for decor or do small ones to give with gifts or something. And personally I prefer the tighter closed pinecones versus the more open ones but they are both pretty when done.
So spread your newspaper to catch all the glitter, this makes for easier clean up. Squirt some glue on the paintbrush and hand over to a little crafty hand with a pinecone. Once it's been covered in glue, cover in glitter. Let dry. That's it. Pretty simple and super fun.
